Lets get rid of these dark eye circles

Nothing bothers the sophisticated 20 to 50 year old woman more than looking less than perfect. She makes sure that she always steps out looking exceptional because this boosts her confidence. However, excessive drinking, allergies, inadequate sleep, or an improper diet, or the stresses of life sometimes get to her, and she will wake up with dark circles under her eyes.

Sometimes hormonal imbalances, ageing, and thinning under-eye skin also contribute to this problem. Many cosmetic products are available and are designed to minimize the appearance of dark circles. However, they are very expensive and contain harmful substances that harm the delicate skin. So why not try home remedies? Many natural remedies can effectively solve this problem as you relax in the comfort of your home.

Cucumbers

The best remedy I know is cucumbers. Remember those Hollywood movies where you see women relaxing at spas with cucumber slices over their eyes? Well, it works. Cut a chilled cucumber into thick slices and place over your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Then wash the area with lukewarm water. Do this twice a week for noticeable results. You could also apply cucumber juice.

Teabags are another great solution because they are rich in oxidants and tannins, which help to reduce the swelling under the eyes. Green tea bags are usually best for this. The first step is to place the two teabags in hot boiling water and to let them soak for about ten minutes. Remove them and let them cool down in the fridge for half an hour. After this, place them over your eyes for about 15 minutes. Repeat this procedure twice a day for the best results for a total of ten days.

Milk contains lactic acid that softens and moisturizes under-eye skin. It also has the proteins, antioxidants, and amino acids required to strengthen and heal damaged skin. Soak cotton balls in cold milk that has been in the fridge approximately for an hour. Place the cotton balls under your eyes and hold them there until they become warm. Do this thrice a day for a couple of weeks.

Let’s say you wake up with dark circles and you need to attend an important meeting. The fastest remedy is lemon juice. This juice contains Vitamin C that is known to bleach the skin and get rid of dark spots. Use a cotton ball to apply the juice around the eyes and rinse off after ten minutes. You should see a subtle change. Do this once a day for a week until you lighten the dark circles.

It is often said that people travel great distances to find answers that are already at their door. So, don’t go looking elsewhere for expensive cures; they are already in your kitchen.
